They are basically identical as far as I can see. I can do a 1:14.7 on PC, and a 1:14.6 on 360. It's just harder to get a good time on the PC because you can only do races, no time-trial mode, so your car is normally half destroyed by the time you get to first!
 
Lyon, I knew Cody were bringing out a F1 game, but if I were to buy an F1-only game, I want it to be the most realistic experience it can be, and sadly, I don't think codemasters will make it as realistic as I want it to be..
But I wouldn't mind arcadey F1 cars in a game like this, where its not the main discipline.

I've got a video of a similar lap if you're interested. It's a 1:14.8 and there's a few mistakes but it's the best I have recorded.

 
Hmm, you do seem to take a strange racing line, running very close to the sandpits, i seem to just wheel the kerb, but keep it on the road the majority of the time, although I also oversteer quite a lot and end up skidding round corners, losing a lot of speed:(
Sometimes, I do fluke a quick brake and fly round the corner perfectly!:cool:
 
I had another bash of this before i went to work today.. and low and behold, i got into it straight away... so ive re-ordered my cancelled pre-order of the PC version. :)
 
I have got the demo on the ps3,the 360 and the pc.
The game is good on all the systems but the pc version is without any doubt the best version.
It runs on my pc at between 50-60fps and is silky smooth.
I can not understand why they did not make dirt run the same as the fps are about half what i get with grid.

Holy cow! you're completely cutting the corners!! :eek:

I didn't know that was allowed. In TOCA3 you'd get busted for doing that.
 
If you want less bloom just edit CCC or whatever nvidia has these days and turn the contrast down a bit for full screen gaming option. Then it shouldnt be as bad.
 
Im deciding wether to get the PC or 360 version. The PC versions winning atm, free multiplayer etc, does anyone know if the 360 version has split screen ?
 
I cant win any races at the moment because I keep laughing at everyone else crashing and then end up crashing myself. One race there was a car right behind me having some kind of epileptic fit, it was flying all over the place including up in the sky, it eventually flew straight into me and I spun out.

I'm gonna see if I can get the record for fastest lap with the most wrecked car, or even, complete a lap without being able to turn right.

Woot, just needs a chance:D I almost canceled my pre-order too after the first go, but after an hour I was loving it. Still am, and thats just with a couple of cars and tracks. Bring on the full game:p
 
I have a G25 the steering is so vague and FF effects are non existant, nice graphics though, shame is dont use my triple crossfire x.
get around 35 fps with CC on 4x AA temperal max everything else and maxed in game, but it is smooth as butter, so not looking to much into it.
