Race Pro

40" Samsung via component @ 720p but have noticed slow down while doing a qualifying lap online ( finished the lap and lost connection )

Kinda annoyed with this game now.

Progressing through the SP career quite well, im finding it all quite easy apart from Road America, for some reason... Half way through D class cars iirc, decided to have a bash at online racing :( Joined a game, entered track, got to first corner and time-up, end of Quali, ok so ill start at the back (8 or 10 players), shouldnt be an issue its a 15lap race. So i screw up on the first lap and get a drive through penalty, drive out of my skin for the next 6laps to catch, pass and take and get a 25second lead.

Then over the course of 3 laps everyone quits or gets kicked?
Leaving me lapping alone and 1 guy sat in the pits. 6 laps to go and ill have won my first online ranked race with no competition and get the achievement, Wooot, and then he quits and i get a DNF. :(

Joined 5 other races after that and had "lost connection" issues.

For the people who aren't getting any tearing, what size are you screens?

32" (cheapo AOC TV), 720p, hmdi, game on hard drive

did a couple of 20 lap races lastnight with my forza group of friends. proper intense racing, we all agree this game is excellent :)

just needs more online host/player options.

I have managed to complete one online race out of about maybe 15 attempts. Netcode is poor.
Get this fixed and it will be great

It's a shame it looks like it does. It plays great. I'm not getting tearing or franerate issues that some eople mention. It's running at 720p via component on my panny 42" plasma

The best recommendation I can give with Sim racing is to get yourself on a forum or with a regular bunch of racers. When I started racing on-line with GT Legends the races were a real mix of people crashing, deliberately wrecking others, quitting before the end, shutting the server etc. Once I'd found a reasonable group and server it got a lot better. By having admins or simply enough people to vote we could get rid of the wreckers, and by having a good bunch races got finished!

Really strange that. I have a 42 PZ70 plasma.

37" Hitachi LCD, 720p via hdmi

get friends, create a private lobby and it rocks, was racing for 4hrs online last night, 7 of us, no issues just a bloody good laff and some really good times.

takes this game to a whole new level. its still far from perfect but takes about 5 mins to set my wheel, seat etc up, fire up 360 and pretty much sorted :)

Aye, we're having some races just now. It's pretty good, netcode needs worked on, but hopefully that's something they'll sort.

Right so I placed a pre-order at a popular online place that said I would get an Exclusive Dodge Charger as a special unlock. The game arrived but there was no code in the box nor packaging and no emails from said company with unlock codes. Did anyone else get a pre-order code? Or do I have to phone them up and see what they say?

I got mine via email from a big name site.

played about 5hrs last night, 10 lap races using wtcc, it totally rocked. towards the end guys were losing grip, a few had low fuel warnings, it was just brilliant.

once you get passed the gfx and the lack of telemetry/options its a really solid game and the racing is class.

get it!!

This is the best race game ive ever played on a console, i had to buy a playseat just for this game! amazing amazing stuff

I've been holding out for a demo but it seems that it'll never arrive.

So, those that have had the game a few weeks now, what's the overall verdict?

- Singleplayer any good?
- Multiplayer unstable or good fun?

Thanks.

Im used to the PC based Sim racing games, and this isnt really in the same league for feel imo... But, it is very good, once you start playing and stop being disappointed with the quite poor graphics youll love it.

Im about 12races off finishing the Single Player game, up until now its been quite easy, the last couple of races, F3000 based have been tricky though.

Im yet to have any positive Multiplayer experiances, it seems mainly because im just trying to join random games, rather than an organised forum type event, im hoping over coming weeks the OcUK members can start to organise a few races. :)
