I remember there was a button you could press that would tell you when you are aheads or behind your fastest lap time, F3 maybe. that comes in useful.
As for times, you get an idea after a few races of what are possible, or ask in the forums.
I got bored with iracing after a few weeks when it felt amazing. They need something like touring and more tracks in a series. I liked the MX-5 a lot, but two tracks got so boring, and i'm not a fan of faster cars. Wasn't prepared to shell out cash all over the place either. Rfactor 2 should be good
