Can you tell me which incident or set of incidents has got you so worried about this because you've never struck me as the sort to be overly concerned about hate crime, so, presumably, it must be terrible.

Hate crime is a nonsense made up to enforce censorship that's why I disagree with it. I'd much rather we let the REAL racists perform Nazi salutes in public so that people know who they are and police can add them to a database, rather than forcing them underground through making such things illegal. The same goes with Islamic terrorism and promoting Jihad etc.

Here's a simple question for you, who are the biggest threat to British Jews today?

1> Labour party full of anti-semitic MP's who might get elected and run the country.
2> Millions of immigrants being brought in from countries who hate Jews and Israel.
3> A guy teaching his pug dog to do a salute as a joke aimed at his girlfriend. (the context being it's the most evil thing he can think of)
4> Some idiot at a football match trying to rile up opposition fans with the most antagonising action he can think of. (probably because his **** Swansea team were losing)

I know, lets make a big song and dance about two men and a dog and just completely ignore the threats from one of the biggest political parties in the country and official EU policy. It still makes me laugh when Brexit is blamed on rising anti-semitism, they couldn't be more wrong.

Take a moment, sit down and think how much work, effort and money has gone in taking this man to court over him doing a salute that lasted a few seconds and that unless you are super really sensitive, no one really cares about, whoever saw the guy doing it, likely forgot about it few minutes later and if anyone remembered, they likely thought he was "something we not allowed to say in OC)".

Should we go around arresting everyone and their dog for doing one?

Personally, I think the idea of the crime he got charged with is really dumb and part of the PC crap we have to deal with, but if we have to go around making it against the law, an officer should had a little word with him after the game and left it like that.

Seeing as that salute could have ended up with him being smashed to bits by angry opposition fans, I think it's better that the courts deal with hate crimes. Never thought I'd see people complain about a moron throwing Nazi salutes being punished, but this is GD after all.

one case would be an improvement. most of them don't bother doing anything unless you have the culprit right in front of them when they turn up. they won't bother looking or trying to track them down at all. unless it's major.

Yes but it's fuelled a quick win culture in my opinion. The police no longer want to do proper detective work.

We had attempted theft where we provided CCTV footage and looked up the number plate and after 3 months got an acknowledgement. Nothing since.

The best way to get a conviction these days is to get someone to hurt your feelings on Twitter. I've had several dealings with the police over the years and am on the verge of losing all respect for them tbh.

When we were burgled they refused to even look at the CCTV footage and seemed to be more concerned with the rights of the one burglar I'd managed to restrain and hold onto than the fact that it was us who were the victims of a crime. We got a crime number and were told our insurance would cover the losses, yeah like the insurance company can replace cherished family heirlooms.
