For God's sake why doesn't he just use same settings for both cards. If the 970 doesn't have the VRAM for one setting then make both cards use the lower setting.

He didn't make the 480 video on the right , he was using another youtuber's (GGPC) video for that, so he can't change those settings.
And his 970's lower vram wouldn't allow him to match the settings.

Don't worry, watching the referendum. Looks like leave will win atm. Already sterling has dropped 4% after 5 results.

On that basis the 480 could be £480 on launch day
 
Greebo, yeah it might fall but businesses have had time to prepare and have things in place to soften the blow if the pound did fall. So nothing should really change in the short term with prices of stuff. Least thats what the news said. Fingers crossed anyhow.

Not really with ocuk. Their prices are based on the exchange rate on the batch they order in. Gibbo has adjusted some stock this month as exchange rate moved.

Doubt ocuk has pre bought dollars to smooth out any changes.

If the sterling is 20% worse tomorrow then expect second batch of 480s to be 20% more.

Unscrupulous retailers will put their first batch up 20%.........
 
Im glad you took it in fun, i wasnt sure if you would get mad at it. Need a bit of a laugh i reckon in this thread after all the arguments etc. We just need to laugh at it all really. Its just a gfx card, its not really released yet so who knows what it really is like or 1 month after launch as drivers mature, etc etc.

They kind of have to because of returns. Even if you bought your stock in when the pound was strong, when it's weak it will cost you money for each return. That has to be factored in.

Pound just plunged to 31 years low to $1.35 not seen since 1985 and I checked real time monitor it still goes down and down now about to hit $1.34 any sec. Guess it will hit $1.10 later.

I think gibbo will wake up in a massive state of panic.
