Radiohead - I Promise

Talk show host is my fave unknown head track.

Removed link for words.

Also on the romeo and juliet sound track (far better than the movie deserved) was easily the best song garbage (who were no great shakes) was #1 Crush.

If I recall correctly, Exit Music was specifically written for the credits of that film. Baz Luhrmann is a fan so asked them I think.

But that's not unknown. It was a bside. In fact a lot of these tracks where bsides....

Man of war is new tho.
Fans obviously know it as a b side I've heard pretty much all of them too, I'm just saying for me of that era its head and shoulders greater than many including the whole of OK computer.

Man of War is pretty good!

Haven't really heard anything new in the original tracks tho?

Had them playing loud with decent headphones and to me they just sound a lot more crisp. Just little things like the bass being brought forward a bit on some tracks, Thom's voice is so much more clearer, Ed's guitar being turned up towards the end of Paranoid Android, Fitter Happier sounds even more creepy, etc. Like I said it's not massive, but definitely something there.

Yeah, but was replaced on the soundtrack release with Talk Show Host as they wanted to keep it for OK Computer.

Just watched the Glastonbury set - not bad, undoubtedly 'boring' live compared to Guns N Roses whom I saw last, but played a good mix of songs - were great when I saw them in the flesh :)

Some of their guitar work seems so pretentious though - throw anyone a multi effects pedal and they can make half the 'weird and wonderful' noises mr greenwood makes.

Seem a bit lost at a festival. Was hilarious when it then flipped to Major Lazer... what a contrast :o

Yeah.. I love!! RH with a passion, but their set seemed weak and uninspired. I nodded off several times watching it on the TV. They lack something in these scenarios now, rather than command it as they once did; instead they come across as an ageing nerdy mess. Thom has nothing to say in-between songs about current events... my twelve year old could say something more rousing about the current state of the country/world than his pathetic attempts... why would anyone consider them even vaguely political anymore?.... and only one track from AMSP :(

I feel the reason he doesn't say anything "political" is because it would be deemed too populist, and he don't like that... Thom is an utter nob and always has been, hypocritical and obnoxious. I just like them for the music, and they are the only band I've seen live that totally mesmerise me - the whole two and bit hours they are on stage you go to a different place, truly honest musicians.

If you hate them, then you hate them. They don't need your support or your vote. They've won.

EDIT: I'm seeing them in a week and a bit so don't care about lack of AMSP, I'll get that at a proper RH show :p
