Radiohead

I've only listened to it a few times so far but struggling to get into it to be honest. It's just a bit flat.

...and the worst version of True Love Waits i've heard. Such an awesome song and they do that to it. Why???

Anyone else as lucky as me to make it to one of the recent London shows?

I understand there were some issues on night 3 with delay in sound, but last night was immense. Interestingly, only Ful Stop and Present Tense were played from AMSP.

Yup I went on the Monday night. I don’t recall any sound issues.

I paid an absolute fortune in the ‘w.a.s.t.e.’ last minute sale for tickets in the Qatar airways lounge (£300 each iirc) but the view from the seats was amazing, couldn’t be better really:

… I did think at the time that the standing area seemed abnormally full… like, health and safety problem full…?

Amazing gig :)

I was there on Monday night, the first time seeing Radiohead. Awesome, such a great gig. We were upper tier, facing the front of the stage, it was a great view.

I think bar the upper tier seating most tickets were 100-200 anyway, so not too bad for last minute. Despite all the efforts put in place to get these tickets in to the hands of fans rather than touts there were still offerings on the resellers :(

Interesting on the different perspective, I was on the same side, but at the barrier.

I'm not one for getting my camera out at gigs, but snapped one at the final moments of Street Spirit. Seriously been impressed with the last two gigs I've been to at the o2 (last being Linkin Park last year), I think bands playing in the round is pretty cool way of staging things and you can start to see some pretty fantastical and creative designs.

From what I was reading on Reddit the issues on Monday were mainly around Idioteque, it was still messy as hell last night but still enjoyable nonetheless.

I was mildy bummed about the setlist, mostly because you Monday lot got Planet Telex, Lucky and Just  but then, was more than made up for with a piano driven Like Spinning Plates

@Fubsy oh right! Well that makes sense then because I thought Thom sounded like **** on Idioteque… like, ok I know you like ad libbing but this is making it ass… almost as if he’s singing out of time…. :p

Very jelly of dem spinning plates. Adding that to Monday setlist along with There There, Airbag and Pyramid Song from the Tuesday would make it an almost perfect setlist… just would need a bonus How to Disappear Completely.

I’d have happily dropped Gloaming, Bloom, Sit Down, All I Need and Bodysnatchers for those.

The thing I noticed most about the Monday setlist was that they played a LOT of In Rainbows… 6 tracks!
