Rafael hit by FA misconduct charge

Funnily enough I had Barca enquire about Rafael on FM2011 :D

The deal was a yes, Messi plus a sell on clause of 10%

They didn't bother me again :D

People are really forgetting how young he is, how many defenders are the finished article at his age?

None!

Don't think anyone was suggesting he was a finished article, but he clearly has a lot of growing up to do, Rio had a stern word with him after waving his imaginary cards, then again Rooney is still exactly the same and it hasn't done him too much harm. Maybe because he is english though.

Where I have seen Rooney in the same match call the ref a ****ing ****er and nothing be done about it. Now if you are setting that kind of example it should be applied across the board where here he has been charged with improper conduct, for what exactly, shouting and asking why?
.

Thats not a yellow card offense though, dont fall into the same trap as lots of people do as believing foul language is a automatic yellow.

I believe he's saying that as he gets older, he'll cut the petulance out of his game however if he's like Rooney, then he might not :)

Ah, I thought he was saying that Rooney did the card waving thing.

In fairness to Rooney he's nowhere near as bad as he used to be wrt to refs.

Calling a ref a ****ing ****er isn't a yellow card offense?

Using foul language might not be an offence but insulting the officials is.

He's only 20 of course he's got some maturing to do, why oppose to my post and then write exactly the type of thing which proves my point

He didn't oppose your post

You implied that people are forgetting his age and the fact that he's not the finished article, he said that nobody is assuming he is the finished article.

Some rubbish being said in this thread.

In the end, he got a second yellow for nothing and was unhappy. He should have left the field but it's not hard to understand why he felt wronged.

He'll learn.

He's only human and after putting in a very good performance, a harsh decision by the referee has spoilt that - so it's understandable to be angry/upset.

I didn't know the phrase 'not the finished article' solely meant in terms of playing? He's not the finished article in terms of his football education, for example not knowing that in the English game it's a cardinal sin for waving the imaginary card, for knowing when when to go into a challenge and when not to etc etc

Ok

What's that got to do with anything Purdy said? The only thing Purdy said that you don't agree with is that nobody has claimed he is the finished article.

Deserves improper conduct charge, should have been sent of for waving hands about palacious red, but his second yellow was poor decision.

Thats not a sending off offence in English football....

Its just not something people want to see, I was impressed with the fact Ferdinand pulled him to one side and told him off for doing it.

The sending off was a bad one and in a heated game I can understand him losing his temper.....think about it, you would.
