RAGE on console, 360 it is then..

I dont suppose any of you that are already playing this have also played Resistance 3 have you? Went back to that last night having completed Gears 3 and I don't know if I can play another generic FPS right now :o

Funny you should say that I find it the opposite it's just too damn easy to kill hell you can hip fire across the map get the binocular and equip it with the pistol, then you don't need another weapon all game. Headshots are also very easy with the massively over compensated snap to on the sniper rifle. You can see that in one of the vids posted in this thread it really is "pull left then right" straight away, this makes MW2 quickscoping look hard.

But I must say I am enjoying it loads off stuff to do and no wandering stupidly for hours like fallout 3, I have also had a blast on MP that seems generic but solid for a cars with guns game still trying to get in to a co-op lobby so I am yet to try that, also switching from SP to MP (which requires a swap disc) throws up an "update is not available" error that throws you back to dash which is odd as the first load installed an 8MB update.

Been playing for a good hour or so and my impressions are pretty good, superb responsive aiming, great animations good fun, but some shocking blurry graphics on close inspection, texture pop in, from a distance they are beautifull though
 
So many games coming out *and that I already have*, going by the reviews, this seems like either a rental, or one to wait on for a price drop in a few months.
 
I can't tell if this is installed to the HDD properly or not. The disc doesn't seem to stop spinning during play.
 
Finally ordered mine, pretty good deal came up at one of the supermarkets so it's worth the wait for delivery on monday!

All new games (not all), it's to do with the formatting of the game image burnt onto the disk.

It's called XGD3 which gives the devs a extra gig or so to play with.

All games in this format still spin their disks for about 10 mins after you launched the game.

It will stop eventually :)

Does this 60fps really make a difference? I can't tell. Maybe if I could play in 30fps then 60fps I might notice something but it doesn't "feel" any different to a normal 360 game.

Yes to me i noticed it straight away even on the spinning knife thing on the loading screens its all so much smoother than most other games and makes gears look like ze judder man
