RAID-0 and RAID-1

Hi people just got new drives, not yet decided which raid to go with but im moving more to raid 1.

A few questions.

This is for vista home premium 32bit

Jumper settings do i need to set the jumpers at all for ever raid 0 or 1 ??
And also i will have 1 back up disc.

Also my other comp is Xp home edition and im going to go with raid also same question do i need to set the jumpers??

You would normally set which raid you want in the Raid facility that is on your motherboard.

What sort of Hard drives do you have IDE or SATA?

I have sata, but do i need to set the jumpers on the hard drives you no like where it has master or slave etc ??

No you dont need to set jumpers on SATA drives...
