Give us a bit more info...

Where does the error appear - POST or in Windows?

Are you doing anythig in particular when the message does appear?

Does the machine just stop responding or does it blue screen?

Where is the status showing healthy - BIOS or Windows?

What type of disks are they?

What controller/motherboard is being used?

Are you using the latest drivers for the RAID controller?

Are the drives making any unusual noises?

Were there any unusual circumstances around the time when the messages first started appearing - other crashes, power cuts etc?

Last two times I've been browsing web, watching streaming video.

Only started to happen last three days, updated RAID drivers 1 week ago.

I have 2x 74gb raptors (diff models) in RAID 0.

First of all, in Vista, a info bubble pops up on start bar, where "new hardware found" would appear, next to icons. says "RAID 1.1 critical failure on 74gb blabl"

After a few warning bubbles, the system freezes, sometimes blue screen, sometimes not. Sometimes computer won't start back up unless I leave it for 30mins.

Hmm, sounds like one of the drives might be on the way out. Problem is you'll struggle to run any form of diagnostics while it's part of a RAID0 array.

Have you got a means of backing up the data you have? If not get one fast!

Nvidia Icon on start bar:

"RAID ACCESS FAILURE
Access Failure: Critical error on disk WDC WD740GD-D0FLA0 (port: SATA 1.1)"

Also, sometimes on bootup it says "RAID FAILURE" instead of "healthy". But now its back to healthty.

Jokester so anymore info? Chipset has been fine for 4 months or so. Whats next? new mobo, replacement under warranty right?

What you're describing is typical of the RAID faults that plagued boards with this chipset when it orginally came out. Re-installing will probably fix it again for another short while, but it will almost certainly fail again. I would look to get it replaced.

I updated bios, deleted RAID setup, trying to install Vista with non RAID.

but it keeps crashing, most of time it crashes at detecting Hard Drives on bootup. Sometimes it lets me get further and I manage to get half way or so through windows setup, but its very slow compared to normal.
