Does this new firmware resolve the problem where the drive isn't detected during a cold-boot? I have to reset the computer for the drive to be detected?

I just got my 2nd email from Maxtor saying i still havn't supplied enough information for them to give me the firmware update :mad:

I've sent another email back with EVERYTHING that's wrote on the sticker ontop of the drive itself...maybe this time i'll get it :rolleyes:

I have that drive deviousdragonuk, and i have a Gigabyte motherboard aswel. As soon as they get back to me ill email you the firmware (if they ever reply)

Update - I got the firmware through an email from Maxtor this morning. I had updated it and the drive works perfect now

My drive was the Maxtor DM10 250gb 16mb cache with firmware version VA111610. The firmware updates it to version VA111630-00

If anyone else with this drive needs the firmware ask here and i'll send it (you've got mail DeviousDragonUK)
