RAID 3 config, do i have to lose the data?

Hi all,

Am thinking about setting up a RAID 3 as i have a spare RAID 3 XFX card, only problem is that 2 of the 5 drives i have are full of data, Am i going to have to back this data up before setting up the RAID 3 or will it just integrate into the setup?

Backup the data then create the array.

I'm not sure if the XFX card supports any form of RAID level migration but even if it does I wouldn't be trying it without a current backup.

Yes 100% - Backup the data first, even if it will migrate it.

here's the latest driver and BIOS for that card (I flashed from windows, on a live controller and it worked fine)
