raid array

so far i have cloned old hard drive to external hard drive then disconnected old hard drive then connected new hitachi deskstars which i want to use in raid0 for peformance
my mother board is an msi k7n2 delta, my intension was to boot clean then transfer from clone to raid set up also do i find raid drivers on mother board disk
 
when i boot with new hitachi deskstars connected as raid it does not tell me that i need to set up an array by hitting ctrl and f for instance why is this
 
my board supports serial ata interface ports ser1 and ser2 first generation 150mb/s but i brought sata 2 300mb/s hard drives would this matter i looked in bios for detection but could not see anything

i have the raid array set up now with a clean install of xp
i have set up a partition for program files but how do i set it so programs go there by default + how is the best way to transfer everything so xp and all other stuff is as was without having to install all prgrams again
