Hey guys, if you want to setup a Raid Config but dont have a floppy drive how do you exactly do it?

You can use Nlite and intergrate the drivers right?

But how would you actually extract the drivers from the cd or a download, every time i try and do it it said please insert a floppy. :(

How you extract the drivers will depend on how they're supplied, quite a lot of them come as a self extracting WinImage file that writes directly to the floppy. A trial version of WinImage will allow you to extract the files in the same way as you can from a ZIP or a RAR. You should get an txtsetup.oem file and some .infs, .sys etc files. In nLite you add these as text mode drivers on the appropriate tab and all should be well. When you boot from the new CD don't hit F6, the drivers should load automatically (you should see them appear in the status line during the initial load).

Hey Rpstwewart thanks for the reply.

Rihgt ive downloaded Winimage but im having a bit of trouble extracting the right kind of file (INF) out of the folder where my, Make disk Raid Drivers are in?

I have a ASUS P5B Deluxe by the way. :)

OK, I think I've got the right stuff, I assume you're using the Intel controller BTW.

1) Grab the imsm_makedisk_6001022.zip file from the Asus site

2) Unzip it and look for the F6fply32.exe file

3) Open the .exe with WinImage and you should get the files for the floppy that you need.
