will raid 1(ing) two hdd and putting windows on them decrease set up time? how much space does vista take?

Raid 1 duplicates data between two hard drives for backup purposes, if you want speed go for raid 0. But Windows should take the same time to set up regardless of Raid.
As for space, it depends on which edition of Vista you are installing, and whether it’s the 64Bit or the 32Bit version.

ah right thanks, I thought that if you had 2 hdd reading at the same time then it would load quicker.
