Its still dark and gloomy so plenty of hope left !

LOl exactly, it rained here in the docklands for about 5 mins then that was it. I was hoping for some lightening and thunder...bah england sucks when it comes to proper thunderstorms.

Yup, they are quite pathetic here. I was in the French Alps (Haute-Savoie) in the summer 2003 when they were having their heat wave (when over 15,000 French people died directly due to heat).

There was a storm there one night which caused over 1million Euros worth of damage simply due to consistent lighting strikes on buildings.

A quite amazing experience.

damn that cranked up the humidity, it's rare that i've seen rain that heavy, Hail, lightning and visibility was quite poor.

dark enough that the camera decided it needed the flash, and if you see the fap in the 2 trres you can normally see the main road! window is open btw, big stuff coming from overflowing drain pipe and this was after the really heavy bit.

We still haven't had any, well we had 30 mins on Thursday morning around 7am, but nothing proper yet for well over a week. The sky does look like its about to unleash the fury though.

we've had loads here.

My very unscientific reckoning* says we've had at least 5-6cm of it today, probably a lot more.

*Based on a 200l water butt filling up (from empty) from a 36m2 (garage) roof by about 9am.

We are slap bang in the middle of it all right now looking at rain radars! We have been having lightning and very heavy rain for a good hour and a half now :) I do miss the sunshine :(

its spittin its spittin get in t'ouse

ive just wallked to the shop and back bout 10mins eachway and it hardly rained at all it was pathetic realy

I love proper big storms with decent rainfall and thunder.

While in the states a week or so ago it chucked it down for just 15 minutes, but the amount of water was incredible.

http://www.nemeiksas.com/photos/main.php?g2_view=core.ShowItem&g2_itemId=804 < That road was dry, and 15 minutes later was like that. That's not a puddle either, the whole road was 2 - 3 inches deep in water, moreso in places.

We got flagged down by another woman as we had a bit of a palm tree hanging out our exhaust! (random!)

http://www.nemeiksas.com/photos/main.php?g2_view=core.ShowItem&g2_itemId=807 < another for good measure. That "stream" in the foreground is meant to be the footpath.

We're having it bad here also, chucking it down and thunder  knocked my 360 off and i didn't get to save my game  also sky is not working and my internet wasn't for about 5 mins
