Rain!

Started raining here at about 15:30 - few spits, quickly turned into buckets of water being poured on me and my bike.:mad:

I got in at about 15:45, and I went upstairs - then there was this good almight flash and bang! I seriously thought something had blown up inside the house, the bang was so loud and the flash was like somebody flashing a camera in front of me.

Still tipping it down now. Getting some strange "stop-start-stop-start" showers (literally 2 seconds between each stop/start).

Hmm, never watched star trek in my life, I take it you dress up as someone from Star Trek irl? lol
in startrek, whenever a mission needs doing, the reccurring cast always go with a "red-Shirt", a member of the crew who is new (and usually supposedly very talented) who's never been on the show before.

anyway, invariably, this person will always die.

Might just be me but that doesn't make sense. Did you miss a bit?

Yesterday at quater past 8 the rain was soo bad that the only thing I could see out of the windscreen was red and white blurs from the lights of cars and the wipers moving chaoticly across the screen. + flashes of lightening.

pfff... blue sky all around here, not a drop of water, shame, quite like it when it really tips down from time to time, getting bored of this nice weather tbh :p

was some class lightning here(middlesbrough) it aint raining that much and is pretty warm.

according to the radio about n hour ago teesside aiport got struck by lightning causing the alarms to go off and had to be evacuated .

**looks out window to see nice blue sky with very thin clouds**
Weres all this rain your all on about

(CAMERA SHOWS KIRK)

Mister Spock...

(CAMERA SHOWS SPOCK THEN MCCOY)

Doctor McCoy...

(SHOWS A GUY IN A RED SHIRT)

no. what didn't you understand?
it got me too, the fact there was a comma after the 'red shirt' bit, but the red shirts are the new people, not the reccuring cast - and i guess locust might have been on it or something in a red shirt.

OK I'll put it another way, it doesn't make sense you must have missed a bit :p

You said the recurring staff wear a red top, then you go on to talk about a new member of staff thats never been seen before, so if they've never been seen before they're not recurring.

If you mean the red shirted guy gets killed then did you mean to use a different word to recurring?

Ah I'm at work. In a kinda 70 year old-factory. Suspended false(?) ceiling with nothing above it other than corrugated asbestos and poorly-sealed glass... Although it never leaked this bad before.
If there's asbestos there and part of the ceiling has collapsed, then that needs to be sorted pronto. Health and safey overload, nevermind the ceiling and the wet floor. :(

Anyway, it absolutely hammered it down this morning here. Flooded the gutters at the side of my house as well, so water was pouring over the side of the guttering. Also flooded parts of the town centre briefly (the council is in the middle of a major building project in the market place, and it seems they neglected doing anything about drainage).

had a great downpour in walsall today for bout 2 hours
really bad
the college roof had 5 leaks in diff places
