Rainbow Six Vegas 2

Frame rate on the 360 version is real crap in places.

On PS3 real bad at times to point where completely slowsdown not good when in middle of firefight. :(

That aside not bad game more of the old but added new features like unlocks which benefit the game and adds some longetivity aswell. Missions are good as always and some really good moments have couple still left to do but been enjoyable.

Only downside i would say but i think the AI is even worse then RB6 Vegas they can be really shocking at times.

Is that MP or SP or both that you've noticed the framerate issues?

UbiSoft Montreal need to be rounded up and beaten hard ..... the multiplayer is completely broken and needs patched straight away.

I am very far from a happy place right now, and I am off the cigs

SP have not played any MP yet.

Good luck on that one buddy, offical ubisoft forums has posts saying ' check your router settings etc ' and everyone else has responded with ' router settings are fine, all other games work ... its your game that is broken '.

It is laughable. :(

Splinter Cell, Rainbow 6, Assassins Creed. Very rare for one department to output an almost consistent stream of AAA releases, the other one breaking up AAA is Naruto, which is actually a pretty excellent game.

Have you tried to play R6V2 online yet ? Your only as good as your last job, and they have done a poor job this time round.

The problem is, testing only gets you so far with a game as popular as Rainbow 6 Vegas, this is why all MMO games have large beta's. It's impossible to judge the strain that a game will have online when you have literally thousands and thousands of people playing.

This is why most games get released, then patched shortly afterwards. It's happened to every major FPS game I can think of.

Play the single player game, there are loads of issues. Me and Hilly were playing earlier. At one bit there is an 'officer down' moment, however on my screen he was still stood up, then there was the guy who was crouched down and his legs were going mental but hilly just saw him as crouched down.

Don't even get me started on the blatent headshots that dont seem to count if there is a bit of scenery within a 1cm of the guys head

COD4 really destroys it IMO, GoW has a better cover system and co-op play

Then there are of course the frame rate issues. It must be the crappy unreal engine, as the graphics are dog turd compared to COD4 and GoW however they don't stuggle with slowdown.

I feel like I am just playing the game to get it done tbh.

I feel the same Simon, in regards to playing it to get it done. Will probably get this done, then chop it in for condemmed. :)

Graphics are pretty horrendous in places to be honest. Just tried 10 minute of terrorist hunt and it looks terrible. Character models are spot on, it's just everything else is shocking all round. It looks worse than Vegas 1.

I've noticed the framerate issues on the Xbox. Especially when a Smoke has gone off. It goes down to a crawl. Also, there are loads of Bugs with the AI Teammates.

I have to split them up at one point, because they were running around in circles, for no apparent reason.

Yep must be the Unreal Engine. :o

Oh, wait, Gears of War was the first 360 game to use the Unreal Engine (3).

Just got this. I'm actually pretty pleased with the single player campaign, but the multiplayer is a right royal pain in the back side. I hate the fact you can't stay in the same session in ranked matches and I hate the way it kicks you out all the way back to the main menu when a ranked game finishes.

I also hate the way it keeps saying session full even if it's saying 1/8 to you, and I hate the way it can't connect to half your games.

Other than that, I'm mighty impressed with the gameplay of the single player campaign and I'm actually finding it pretty fun. Just can't wait for them to patch the multiplayer aspect.

Guess you didn't see the dogs abuse they took over AC on the PS3 then?

I'd agree with that, the graphics are worse than the first one. I started the 2nd level and was very suprised how bland the area was. I still love the gameplay though and thats what this game is all about for me.

The multiplayer aspects that people are complaining about were in all the other favourite title shooters. They have just been conviently forgotten.
