Rainbow Six Vegas 2

Well Mine just locked up and crashed again when I was trying to get into a chopper.

Also doing each mission on realistic doesnt seem to count as completing it. Looks like Ill have to go through it again. (I did from act3 in realistic coop with hilly then went back with him helping me for act 1 and 2)

That happened to me too. I've also had a couple of glitches during T-hunt matches., once I couldn't respawn and the other time I was stuck on a ladder and had to quit.

I wouldn't say it was bad, just untested - I cannot believe that the MP issues would not have come up during testing, as it's such a widespread problem.

Compared to Vegas, I think that they are pretty much identical at core level, but it seems like they have tried to increase the graphics/effects quality, which has added an additional layer of slow down*.

It's certainly worth the money, so long as you enjoyed the first, but I felt the story in this didn't seem to be entirely clear/flowing as the first; but that could just be me

This is the PS3 version I am talking about.

Scort.

* The frame rate issues seem really sporadic, for example, hiding in the train cart in kill house, then looking down the left hand side of the building gives me issues, but it goes after a few minutes.

Well I LOVED the first, really really enjoyed it.

And being honest I couldn't care less about the SP (quite like terrorist hunt but not bothered about the campaign)

So I should be ok with Vegas2?

Well after playing it last night and most of today, heres my thoughts. On the whole its still kicks butt, enjoying albeit for a few niggles ie the cover system isnt all that good tbh...you could be hiding behind a wall and still get hit without even peeking out. Compared to other cover systems on other games ie GOW and COD4, this one isnt all that great. Secondly ive noticed a big frame rate slowdown when getting into levels that are a bit more intricate ie lots of action going on. As for the last niggle, well it has to do with the storyline. Now as i remember you kill Irina Morales in the first one but ive heard through the comms that shes still alive??. Plus theres no mention of Gabriel who sold out in the first one...so kinda find it strange as i was under the impression that this would follow on from the last one etc...maybe it does later on. At the moment im on the penthouse levels. Ahh one other thing i find is that it seems like the enemy can take a shot at you and kill you...which makes it that bit much harder i suppose...so not really a major niggle for me...just means i need to aim quicker:p.

All in all im loving the game, just finishing up the SP mode then i can play some MP. Btw sorry Mcmanicman, i ignored your request...nto done on purpose but im trying to complete the sp mode so i can then concentrate on MP. Loved the first Vegas and still loving this one immensley.

Im enjoying it a lot, it locked up earlier on the Convention level and had a couple of incidents of serious slowdown as others have said, still fun though, I like the complete customisation of your dood and weapons etc.

Will definitely get the first game after completing this one I think.

Anyone got any problems with general online play in Vegas 2? And what were they thinking of when they removed unlimited respawns from attack & defend? :(

Wonder if there will be the statutory Tom Clancy bug in it? Like in GRAW the level you where on the rooftops wouldn't trigger at a point. And in RSV in the theater and got through the bit which was killer, it wouldn't let you activate the terminal lol
Wonder what will have me shouting in this :)

Havent seen any bugs yet ie glitches other than the gfx ones that ive had but once they are gone the game is good as gold. Neither have i had any lock ups either, so quite chuffed with that.

Is the cover system the same as in Vegas? Thought it was pretty much spot on in the original.

It is indeed but as Wyrdo mentioned, you can get shot through cover...which kinda defeats the object of having a cover system in place:p.

Also ive noticed that youc ant throw a grenade through certain stuff...i had one level where i was hiding behind a wall...and i went to throw a grenade thinking that it would blow the guy up...but i didnt see a can sitting on top so when i went to throw it...it bounced off the can...yeh right like thats really gonna happen in real life:p...and ended up blowing me up instead:p.

i played this today at my sisters house on ps3 and thought it was very poor it seemed to have a 20fps at best and then down to single figures a lot i was going to get this for 360 but if it is the same as ps3 then i will not bother

will it come out for pc?

Not noticed any slowdown on the 360

Same here, not much of a slowdown from what i have been hearing on the PS3 side of things. A few of my mates have the PS3 and this game and they do admit it does slow down quite a bit...but honestly my slowdowns have been less than 5 secs if anything...then it speeds right back up.

Also, there are loads of Bugs with the AI Teammates.

I have to split them up at one point, because they were running around in circles, for no apparent reason.

I've noticed a few AI problems and slowdown once after getting it today, still an awesome game though :D

Jessie you should stick to 2D platformers :p

The point of this one is to stop you hiding behind a wooden crate for the whole time. As you would in real life penetrating weapons can kill you, but you can do the same.

I have no problems with grenades either. LT and throw.

it does point out at the start of single player that u can get shot through soft cover ie:wood etc but not through solid stuff.
