Thats a very round wheel :D Are you sure thats the unreal 3 engine. So did they use the unreal 3 engine on ghost recon? Cos that roboblitz thingy on steam runs a treat. I know its not got that detailed a graphics but the textures are a lot better.
 
Rainbow 6 has never been about graphics. That said (from a now 360 player) I thought Vegas's graphics are amazing. Sure you can pick faults on one or two items (like the pictures above) but on the whole it has the best graphics the series has ever had.
 
argg how annoying is this game!!! it starts off with your usual slow paced introduction/training mission then turns into a fustrating 'How did i just die game !!!'

dont get me wrong im really enjoying it, it plays well creating lots of tension , but it does get absurdly hard... ( single player )
ive done most of the early missions with only a few trys but once you get into Vegas and the Chinese casino (dont remember level name) arrrggggggg fustrating
you cant save it unless you get so far into a level where it autosaves a restart point for you, so taking 30+mins to clean a level or two only to be shot from out of nowhere with 1 bullet is driving me mad!
 
Im really liking the game at the mo, keeps me going havent got bored yet, runs ok ish 30 35 frams got shadows on medium and something else on medium cant remember lol. does slow down during some points. havent applied the patch yet.
 
Its the same with ghost recon the pc and xbox 360 versions seem to be completely different. Also the video of the 360 version I watched did look really god. What you show there looks like ghost recon shots :D
 
Ive got problems with rainbow 6 dvd not reading memory segments on install...already taken one copy back to Tesco.....
but it says 'x' cannot find 'x' in the memory and it asks if i want to terminate or debug....

any ideas....

ive now made a folder on desktop and trying to copy contents of dvd across, and run setup from that....

but do you think the data has been written badly onto this batch of dvds?

nah thats rubbish, my p4 3.2 and AGP 7900GS gives me 20-40fps full detail full res ,
sometimes i wonder how fragmented some peeps PC's are, it can make a world of diff
 
I loved this on the 360, thinking about getting it on pc too but was worried about it being a bad port both performance and looks wise.
 
If people are getting low fps even on a g80 then the games problem could be with the CPU: as I said on another post, I get extra 5fps by booting up on 1 core, if that helps anyone.

As far as I'm aware the game uses a modified Unreal2 engine & I think the first PC game to use the Unreal3 engine will be UT2007.
 
Look I have a good system and the frame killer is the shadows switch to low and hey presto you get 45-70+ fps at full details! also I notice even when I turn on aa and af at max 16 I can still see jaggys on walls etc poor coding not acceptable, but hopefully things like this will be sorted with dx10?

How do i turn off hdr? I cannot see the option
 
didnt know AA worked on this game. I switched shadows to low and 1600 bt 1200 everything else max it looks good, as soon as you switch shows to high tho it kills it :p 1950xtx
