RAM Problems - High Usage

I have recently come across some issues with my RAM. At first it was idling at around 30% which I believe is normal for 8GB, then it shot up to 90%+ when idle. I don't know what caused this or how to fix it.

Did you try to replicate the issue and see which program is using that much memory?
I have some programs doing auto-updates sometimes and they can eat a lot. Or anti-virus scans, I have Norton and it uses quite a bit.

Does it happen often?

Edit: This does look weird. Memory leak?

This problem wasn't fixed by restarting my PC and gets really annoying as everything is extremely slow.

I believed it would be a memory leak but I have no idea how to detect and fix one.

I've been having issues with 8Gb and windows fixing some programs shutdown...
I guessed its a leak in Thief. It will use 7.8Gb of RAM at times but I don't really know of a fix :/

Google for some programs.
I have seen some freeware for detecting leaks, forgot the name, it was last year.

I fixed the problem by downloading AVG's PC TuneUp which fixed all the issues slowing my PC down.
