Random 3D printing chatter

Yep, mine has arrived and I've done about 30 hours of printing on it.

Sadly it arrived dented, so I emailed support and a few hours later they replied apologising and said they'd dispatch me a new side panel, so the support is there if needed, which is reassuring.

The machine so far has been great, print quality is on par with the £1000+ Bambu's we have at work and it's just as quick. Zero issues, just turn it on, let it do it's calibration stuff for the first time and away you go. Mine has the updated revision hardware, so a 4 way port on the back for the AMS and additional light bar.

Cons so far:
- The print head moves so fast, the wiring for the nozzle cooling fan can rattle inside the housing. I popped the plastic off (held on by two magnets) and shoved a bit of foam in there, noise sorted.
- Noise in general. This printer is not quiet, I have mine in a guest bedroom which I rebuilt with acoustic insulation in all partition walls/floor a few years back and I can still hear it a bit next door in my office.
- AMS - Elegoo said it would be here for Q3 but have recently pulled it from the Carbons spec page. All they've said it they are still working on it. A bit deflating but hopefully it still comes, I've no doubt it'll still be cheaper than the Bambu equivalent though.

Overall I'm enjoying it though, prints that would take 9 hours on my Sovol SV06 are taking <2h on this. It printed a Benchy in 9 minutes and it came out perfect :D

Placed my order today

It's a cracking 3d printer. I got mine back in August and spent most of the month printing upgrades for it along with cat sculptures!! First upgrade to print is either a guard that fits against the side or a better spool holder (what I did) otherwise the spools will scratch the side panel. Next is a container to collect all the waste from the poop chute. Filament is much cheaper on Amazon and you can get some cracking deals on there and also Ebay. They are supposedly launching a multi colour thingy for it in the next couple of months. Presumeably it will be something like Bambu Labs AMS system, can't wait for this.
