Random behaviour today

I've been living a lie, it all makes sense now!

Well if it's any consolation I only recently worked out that large fries were larger (size) than regular fries.

I just assumed you got more fries, I didn't realise they were actually larger in terms of length. They should be called "long fries", not large fries.

Or is it just a coincidence that my large fries were long fries?

I have no idea. It's all very confusing. :o

Pretty sure they all come from that giant fry-cooking machine and are just portioned into different sized packets. Maybe the larger packet affords greater stability to the longer fries, which would just fall out of the smaller box?

They will have come from a batch of fries which were cut differently.

Maccy's fries are all cooked in the same fry vats and then put into a big tray where they are kept warm, then just scooped into the appropriate packet before serving.

Where do people get this eat-in charge rubbish from?

I thought that for either eating in or taking out, one of those attracted VAT and the other didn't? Though the resteraunts charge at the higher price and on the meals that wouldn't attract the VAT, they take the extra as profit?

Though given the mention of urban myths in the thread, I guess this is one of them?

Edit after seeing Fox's post: Aha! Knew it! :D

I think people get confused about having to add VAT when eating on premises or off. VAT is added on both circumstances with hot food.

Other than somebody desperately trying to appear to be intellectual, who actually refers to McDonalds like this?

Intellectual? Ha ha haaaaaa - I was born in Essex and now live in Norfolk - how less intellectual can you get :D

What would you call it? I can't bear 'restaurant' for Maccy Ds/BK/Wimpy :o

'Popped into McDonalds' > 'Myself and my other have patronised a fast foot outlet today, and watched somebody else enter the establishment'.

Big words for big words sake ;)
