Random "clicking" noise

My hd recently started to make random "clicking" noise.

Is it safe to assume its on the way out?

Can i still rma it even though, there's nothing wrong with it apart from the random noise?

It's not necessarily dieing, some drives make all sorts of wierd noises as part of their normal operation. Get yourself a copy of the manufacturer's diagnostics and run those, if they show a problem then RMA the drive, if they don't then it's unlikely that the manufacturer will take it back.

Back the data up and do a low level format then diagnostics.
