Random dashes when booting into Windows 7

Between the Asus mobo boot screen and getting to the windows eggtime login I get a fair few seconds of my system hanging on a black screen with nothing on apart from a 7 or 8 green/blue dashes in the top left of the screen.

Does anyone know what this could be?

Oh yeah, sorry my kettle was ready so quickly posted (tea priority > *)

Basically it's a case of you losing your memory!

In msconfig under Boot you have likely checked the "No GUI boot" option, this option disables the Windows logo and saves 5-10 seconds of Windows load time during boot.

The bars just tell you stuff is happening I guess. I have the bars too as I use No GUI Boot.
