Random Fireworks

Sooner they're banned the better.
Fully agree on this... and if not fully banned then at least legally limited to specific days in the year and in specifically designated places away from private residences where they can't terrify people and pets. Fireworks were under control once, but started to be heavily abused a couple of decades ago and are now used as yob fuel. They're at best annoying and at worst dangerous.

100% this.

When I hear random fireworks like this, especially close by - my immediate thought is gunfire and my heart sinks a little.

I have a theory that a certian degree of exposure to gunfire will give most people an extremely mild form of PTSD. Obviously it doesn't impact my life in any way, but that 1 second of confusion can sometimes be distressing. It's easy to see how it might be devastating to someone with severe PTSD.

Don't get me wrong, fireworks are fun and they have a place - but does Gregg 3 doors down need to set off a cheap one in his garden on a week day? Probably not.

Agree with this, wouldn't condone an outright ban - fireworks have their place and can be spectacular on the right occasion at an appropriate time and location when displayed professionally, but there is no need at all for random people being able to obtain these year round.

There’s a black car that drives around here at all times of the day (though not all the time) that has a popping exhaust. Can hear him for a mile.

I did see this car reversing into the entrance to my road. Too far to notice the make or reg.

Anyone who adds/adjusts anything to engine to make it louder are idiots.

Oh god yeah that and motorbikes you can hear from several streets away, deafening when near that literally hurts your ears. They're far worse than any random fireworks I havn't heard since new year at least.
