Random PC restarts

Touch Wood, I think I have found the problem which no one thought off sadly... the power cable for the power supply. Basically as soon as I got my system back from overclockers after they stress tested it I re built it on my desk without the case so I could clearly see everything and only attached the cables that I needed. I did not change the graphics card because I was 99% sure it wasn't that and also the SSD which I tested previously. But since I had changed my power supply 3 times I had brand new cables lying around so I decided to use them instead of having to undo my smart case wiring. When I went to change the power cable I noticed every time I would just keep my old power cord so this time I decided to change it. When I actually looked at the cable I think it was the power cord from an old power supply (since the connection is the same). So I changed that and stress tested my system with prime and msi kombuster and everything was fine bit high temps hit 85 but I think that’s because I’m on the A50 air cooler for a 4.6 overclock as well as I think I didn't apply enough thermal paste^^. My system has been stable for 3 days so far and has not crashed once. The last thing to introduce back to my system is the HDD which should be fine and then wire the system back. I think this problem is fixed as I read somewhere a faulty power cord can cause voltages to go high and low which in my case was causing the 3.3 to drop to 2.8 occasionally causing a crash. I will leave this thread open for a week just in-case. One other thing after I found out about the power cord I checked all the other wires in my case which were fine except one motherboard extension that I had put in for the 24 pin power. Basically one of the small wires that build up the 24 pin is very loose and can easily slip out could this cause random restarts or more the power cord?

sounds like it yep, thx for reporting back, maybe it will help others with similar problems
that extension doesnt sound good tho, u cant run without it?

SOLVED:

The problem was defiantly the power cable (So annoying, it was something so small and easily over looked). And as a precaution as i was putting my system back together i replaced the loose motherboard 24 pin cable to the original.

Thank you all for your help anyway
