Onto the interior stuff - and no Posh Spice did not design it.
Cruise is the typical 30mph+ to activate but I was suprised to see this graph pop up for 5seconds or so.
Dual View Screen in action..... Driver see Audio controls here, could be Nav or climate control items whilst passenger can watch TV. I think its Loose Women on here!
Then if your in the back you can use this remote control to manage what you want to watch or listen to through the Meridian premium 825W sound system or the Whitefire wireless headphones.
Definately a Range Rover style to the console and controls, the dash and doorcards are fully leather covered which gives the premium feel required for the market target and its price point. The engine was also equipped with start stop which was pretty slick with the manual box.
That trunk load space, decent size with a much lower load floor height than Freelander and some decent load restraint runners!
That view, the letterbox

Its not as bad as the picture suggests as there is minimal body overhang from the glass surfaces unlike an XJ which I found far more difficult to work out where you are, particularly as the rear view camera is too low on that car. On the Evoque the camera does superb job for rear visibility anyway.
Rear head room was VERY impressive thanks to that roof. As a 6 foot block who pretty much sits as a 95% percentile adult in torso height my head was a good few inches from the glass. Its a little cosy as the waistline is so high but thats part of why it looks like it should be cramped as everyone can see the side glass is narrow - plenty of room was my verdict anyway and the 5 dr gains useful doors AND 30mm roof height.
