I think capchas are starting to become a real nuisance now, im mainly referring to forum searches, why oh why people think bots are going to randomly search their forums pointlessly i don't know and if theres some server performance excuse well then limit searches after one another by a fair amount like 10 seconds or so, having to analyze distorted character etc is a **** take tbh, its extra work i shouldn't have to do i mean the cheek of it! :mad:

Oh the best one i found was to sign up to a simple forum i had to do that and some math, i mean wtf! :rolleyes:

It's to help prevent ddos attacks. Though like you said, you can just limit searching to 10 seconds or so.

To stop bots analysing the images. The op image is pretty much impossible for a bot to analyse. However there are much better techniques than that.
