The potential for risk is large. Natural estrogens are up to 100,000 times more potent than their environmental counterparts, such as the estrogen-like compounds in pesticides.
"Among the routes of human exposure to estrogens, we are mostly concerned about cow's milk, which contains considerable amounts of female sex hormones," Ganmaa told her audience. Dairy, she added, accounts for 60 percent to 80 percent of estrogens consumed.
Part of the problem seems to be milk from modern dairy farms, where cows are milked about 300 days a year. For much of that time, the cows are pregnant. The later in pregnancy a cow is, the more hormones appear in her milk.
Milk from a cow in the late stage of pregnancy contains up to 33 times as much of a signature estrogen compound (estrone sulfate) than milk from a non-pregnant cow.
In a study of modern milk in Japan, Ganmaa found that it contained 10 times more progesterone, another hormone, than raw milk from Mongolia.
What in the name of **** is this. Erm, where have any of these things been 'scientifically studied' to cause homosexualism- in humans???
And what are BPAs?
I drink quite a lot of milk, milkshakes and smoothies, I have milk in my tea and coffee, and I eat yoghurts and a-lot of cheese.
I'll give in to my homosexuality and be round to pleasure you shortly.
Do you drink skimmed of full fat? Skimmed milk doesn't have much in it, the chemicals are stored in the fat.
it suggests that female sex hormones in milk may cause homosexuality, I see no evidence for a mechanism by which the process occurs - nor is such a mechanism referenced in the article, thus I remain sceptical of hypotheses which seem to diverge quite a way away from the scientific consensus which I am aware of.
Kwerk. The thing is, its something that happens when you're developing in the womb, and a load of studies have proven this.
Also you're nothing but feeding on stereotypes when you say about the toys and things.
As Acme says, he has a lot of milk in his life, however that doesn't make him emotionally and sexually attracted to men :S
LOL this thread. I doubt many men would report it if they got raped.
What concerns me here is that people will see the "harvard.edu" in the web address and then think he has a point. You see, current scientific consensus suggests that homosexuality is purely genetic - not environmental. I'm not a biologist (I'm a physics student, so I'm much more scientific than biologists lol!) so I tend to trust the scientific consensus on issues such as this given that I can't find the evidence by myself.
This thread is absolutely tremendous.
