raptor constant accessing?

Sitting at my new conroe, the 150 raptor seems every two seconds to access, a constant click or double click and whir, then quiet for a few seconds then again

my old machine was silent most of the time - any ideas - something running in background although I dont have any processes running etc?

Have you got a good spyware remover installed,as I had this, until I installed Ad-Aware SE Professional, then it stopped after scanning and removing all the spy ware.
