its a WD1500ADFD 150GB, which i believe is a velociraptor (10k rpm). what im thinking is if i wont really notice too much of a difference, keep the Samsung SpinPoint F1 HD103UJ 1TB in my gaming/media pc with win 7 and fit the WD1500ADFD 150GB into my internet pc and just stick xp pro on it.

That's not a Velociraptor, it's one of the nice old, loud and hot ones. Access times are still better than the F3's but nothing else.
