Thinking about buying a PC since exclusively being a Mac user for a number of years. I had a 6000 3dmark06 score when i built PCs which was pretty uber back in the day!
Just wondered if it was a good time to buy with Ivy-Bridge just around the corner? I assume some motherboards are going to be compatible when they're out?
I've put together a little rough build of components that i may want but just wondering whether they are suitable with eachother and will last for the forseable future with new architectures coming out.
Is there components that would be better suited to my build? Am i missing something out? I have keyboard, mouse, speakers, monitor, sound card.
The computer is mainly going to be used for photo work with some gaming thrown into the mix.
Thanks!
