I know Conroe is around the corner as is R600 & G80 etc... AFIAK there is no right or wrong time to upgrade. There will always be something newer, faster etc just around the corner. Just spend what you can afford and get the best value for money at the time you decide to buy.

yeh that's true, for example people were gona wait until Windows Vista was released before buying AMD64's....

i think it's more important to get the better technology for the time not the best spec, for example: Midrage spec (Sata, PCI-E and 939) instead of a high end spec (IDE, AGP and 754). this is what makes your PC better.

Btw i give "Siskods9" 10/10, you can't get much better (if any) than his system.

yeah i got it from a competitor ages ago before i found ocuk for 35 pound , just waiting for ocuks site to be sorted cos its not working properly for me cos i need to order some bits ordered the window'd side panel for my case off fleabay oh and heres where my sempron 64 lives crappy setup now cos my intels took pride of place

Its surprisingly still relatively OK.. its all black like my new one, its in the shed at the moment, i never use it.. but i think im going to being it to the forefront of my room again, alongside its cousin in my sig

what mutli fsb combo did ya use on your fx60 as ive tried many different combos to find me the fastest super pi/3dmark 06 cpu score

i noticed ya had the same ram as me as well, thought i maybe able to help as ive put a lot of time and effort with mine
