The physics are not always meant to be realistic. Sometimes it's necessary to ignore real-world physics in order to enhance the gameplay.i think crysis does very well considering the sheer amount of objects it need to render and calculate, although as others have said, the physics on the houses are laughable.
i can picture someone just leaning on a wall on korea and the entire 3 story house just falls on them.
Shooting someone at close range with a shotgun should just punch a hole in them, not send them flying through the air "hollywood style", but it feels better to see them flying, so that's how Crytek implemented it. It's the same with buildings, a grenade would not blow the walls and roof off a building "hollywood style", but it looks and feels much better, again adding to the gameplay.
The 'speed' is always relative to visual quality and PC specs, so it's not possible to give a score that's directly comparable to anyone else's score (except when using identical hardware and settings).
