Raw cat food, good or bad.

We feed Applaws dry food due to it's very high protein content, but the vet described it as 'cat drugs' as they can get quite hooked on it.
Our ginger tom loves to eat, but his daily measure is tiny and he's always on the prowl for more unfortunately, so you'll have to be very strict on measures and not giving in to the blackmail!

We've always had cats in our family, and they've always survived to live long healthy lives and generally we've just fed them regular (but on the decent side) food - never have any of our cats had any UTI/Kidney problems etc due to diet.

This ^

Cat also go into other homes with cats to eat.

Just be aware that too much liver can kill cats. Once a week should suffice for liver, just about anything else is fine.

My cat is a feral beauty, he can disappear for weeks on end, eating mice and birds to his hearts content, when he comes home he wont touch any of the usual cat foods and turns his nose up at anything other than sainsburys taste the difference smoked salmon and chilli Madagascan prawns :p

I indulge him happily coz he's such a character, but recommending diets for cats based on my experience would be completely impossible :D

Seriously i hate auto correct and predictive text. Look at the amusing drivel that gets posted these days lol

Car food.
Luck liver.

Our cats were quite happy on a mix of biscuits, Felix, and the odd helping of cottage pie, steak, Chinese takeaway and Italian goodies. :p

i used to feed my cat Feringa from zooplus. It has one of the highest meat contents of any car food.

Sweet, I'll check it out. My car has been getting a bad diet lately. Damn thing weighs over a ton. It's coat isn't as shiny as it used to be also :(

Mine only eat dry food (turn thier noses up at ANY wet food) and it's usually just tescos own brand stuff. I just make sure they've always got plenty of fresh water out (although they still seem to prefer drinking water outside from buckets etc!).

Both are now 10 years old and fit as a fiddle according to the vet - who incidentally said all the expensive food (Iams etc) is a con.

For two cats, we spend about £2 a week in food.

My mainecoon is going back onto raw food, I tend to keep her off it through the summer due to issues with flies and raw meat out in the heat.

I order mine from http://rawtogo.co.uk seem to remember the beef is her fave, otherwise she is on James Welbeloved cat food which she enjoys.

I am pretty lucky as Rommy does not sit and eat all the food in one go, she will have a few bites, then go for a run around the house or a snooze.

Used to feed my bengals on raw, it was expensive and they never really ate properly while on it but they did look/act healthier.

A good complete dry & wet cat food diet is good enough. Just don't go dry only.
