Razer entering the world of console gaming

:( dam so far away, cheers

Yeah... I think they are getting Team Dignitas to road test it for 6 months. Good thing TBH - Razer arent that well known with a large % of console gamers so they need to make their first hit a solid one. Guess rapid fire wont make it into the final product (good IMO) although time will tell.

Damn, I wished it would be here sooner but that kind of time frame seems about average really. Not too bothered about rapid fire though.

Razers target audience are the pro gamers, and as stated in the thread already they cant use wireless controllers. I doubt they will.

razer's target audience is anyone with enough money, pro gamer is a niche market, they want anyone who takes their games remotely seriously.

This looks alright, its a bit tardy not having a wireless one though, although if they did I imagine no-one would buy it, the wannabe pros for lag reasons, the normal people for cost.

They should just release a wireless one with rapid fire for the commerical market and then a wired one without rapid fire for pro gamers. Simples.

The likely reason is that the wired pad is only what £40? So a wireless one unless it is ridiculously expensive (MS and Fanatec steering wheels for example) would directly compete with MS controller sales. Hence, wired pad only as these aren't as popular so not as big of a competitor for MS.

I do hope that they make a PS3 controller. The stuff they sell is always top quality and i love it so a PS3 controller would be perfect.

I'd love them to make one that could function on both consoles (surely Razer could do it?!), I'd buy three or four then!

I will buy the controller without a second thought but only if by the time they release they have added in a port for a headset.

Judging by the curent pics/videos there doesnt appear to be one.

Second post in this very thread shows that there is one.

I think that Microsoft and Sony would have some problem with that rather than Razer having the trouble building it
