Razer entering the world of console gaming

It's wireless to reduce controller lag. It's for the same reason that all good pc players use wired mice.

I want them to make a better PS3 pad!

i know they are not to everyones taste, but why can't a 3rd party make a 360 style pad for PS3 with or without switches to allow L1/R1 to be swapped with L2/R2.

one of my fav games of last year (infamous) is somewhat spoiled due to me accidentally touching L2 when i'm wanting to use L1

They simply dont allow wireless controllers at gaming events. Due to interference.

You don't want to be using them in a competitive environment for many reasons:

  • Interference
  • Lag
  • Syncing with other consoles
  • Battery issues
  • Having to faff about with syncing

Most people "compete" online though so it hardly affects most of us :p

Maybe they're releasing wired before wireless? Why release both when you could possibly make money on both? :)

Razers target audience are the pro gamers, and as stated in the thread already they cant use wireless controllers. I doubt they will.

It'd be nice to see a wireless one but it probably won't happen due to licensing, nothing to do with 'pro gaming'

If they could make and release a wireless one, they would.

Yeah of course, it would completely out sell the wired for sure...

Off the strength of my Razor mouse, I'd probably buy this. These guys know exactly what makes good peripherals click. No pun intended!

That addition to the analogue sticks looks like a very good touch. Doubt I'd use the programmable buttons though. Build quality will be good knowing Razer.
