Help... as post, just got Razer Mamba. Buttons and scroll wheel seem to work but pointer will not move.

Anyone any ideas?

I've also noted the laser underneath doesn't illuminate - could the product be faulty?

this might be a bit obvious but does it have an on off switch?

if yes, is it turned on?

Yeah, its turned on. The scroll wheel, base, and charge indicator lights are all on.

I also tried it with and without the charging/power cable.
I've also tried it in different USB ports.

the lazer does no light up underneath, uninstall drivers and then re-install don,t know what win you using but there is a win 7 driver out now for it,plus have you pressed the infra red button on the mouse so it can sync with the docking station, think thats your problem.

Tried this - still no luck!

Make sure it's only plugged into the same USB port as it was when you installed the drivers.

Did you update the on-board firmware and install the drivers?

My Tesco £3.97 mouse worked first time - no drivers, nuffink!

Sorry, that wasn't helpful was it ;)

Unfortunately I do not have this issue with mine, what OS you using? Windows 7 installed my Mamba straight away, no need for a disk, and works perfectly.

Out of interest now they've been out for a while how are the people that bought one of these beasties getting on.

I'm due a new mouse and tend to go for the ~£50 range for something reasonable but given the use it gets I could be persuaded to get a bit carried away if they are proving to be a good long term investment.

Given the choice between selling my soul and my mamba, it would be a tough decision.

I love this mouse. Still a little buggy occasionally but the fast firing DPI selectors is worth the money alone. That and it fits my hand perfectly and is the first mouse with thumb buttons that are actually in a comfortable place.

i have had mine a week and like the above post it is a little buggy still but they just realeased new drivers for win 7 so its a lot better,if you still on vista it be fine and it is a very good mouse well pleased with it :)

Brilliant mouse, but battery life is starting to slightly struggle now and Razor won't sell me a new battery! They just don't sell them!

very hit and miss if it works when you boot up, sometimes its fine, sometimes it needs replugging in/ switching on and off, gets a little annoying, oh and i havnt got drivers installed, if i install them it refuses to work full stop, this is on vista mind you, tried it on xp and everything is fine so i think its a vista issue with mine
