Razer RMA - rant

Oli has emailed me back to say Razer are sorting him a replacement unit out!

Good to see that with a little help from OcUK people are getting what thjey deserve!
 
Do Razer support their mice differently to their other products?

I e-mailed their technical support regarding a broken Razer Onza TE and was told to return it to Overclockers as I had bought it outside the US & Canada. From what I had read on the internet I expected to be told to cut the cord etc, so was surprised when they said this.
 
Excellent job guys, probably just mis-communication on Razers end. I imagine the mass of their CS emails goes through some sorting office in a land of bad english.
 
I recently also contacted Razor about an issue with my headset. I was told to return it to the place of purchase so it will be on its way back to overlockers soon. On a similar note I had a razor naga that stopped working after 14 months and was told again to return it to the retailer which happend to be the rainforest site at the time they didnt want to know becuase it was past 12 months, as the mouse was under warrenty for 2 year I contacted razor and they got me to cut the cord off and sent me a new replacement. All in all very happy with my razer products and the service from.
 
Yep. My Logitech harmony one suffered from a swollen battery after two years. I only dropped them an email to see about a new battery. Instead they posted a new remote out to me. Full retail package. In the end they didn't want a photo. Just said bin it if you want (it was useless anyhoo).

Guessing it was in a 3 year warranty still. They still sent me a 50% off code for products on the website when my out of warranty 885 broke so fair play to them. No proof I destroyed the 885, so even out of warranty you should get something.
 
This is why i buy most of my hardware from OcUK. I had problems a while ago with a powercolor 4850 RMA so what did overclockers do.... they sent me a nice 4870. Great service.

Got an apology email from Razer and the replacement is on its way =)
