Razer sez: PC gaming is not dead

Right i get it now, being a bit dumb..........

Wow great ok well a posh netbook and OLED keyboard than can play quake 3 awesome......?......

yoiu guys are missing the point though, its not meant to play the latest games. have you seen the front end? it appears you have to buy the games designed for it from an e-shop. you cant simply attempt to stick quake 4 on it for example hence the no mouse... bc you wont be needing it.

That's even worse :p?

The future of PC gaming is playing games from the last decade?

Laughable.

Exactly what I thought, PC gaming is the total opposite of what that article is talking about. All they've done is use the "OMG PC Gaming is dead" thing to headline an article on some second rate hardware

As for the PC Gaming is dead thing, I think we all know that isnt the case

It's not single LCDs per key (Optimus style). It's quite smart in that it's one large LCD with the keys overlayed and sections changed as required. Quite a good idea to be honest. No more expensive than an LCD screen on it's own, likely not even a super high quality panel as IQ is less of an importance just for digital key cap display.

Aah, that's pretty awesome. Why can't someone make one of those as a normal keyboard? I really like the 'cool factor' of the optimus, and it would be awesome to have a keyboard like that. And at a fraction of the optimus' price, that could sell pretty well.

Also no one plays WCIII without a mouse so the whole play it like a Gameboy idea is moot anyway, you couldn't play multiplayer like that and win it would be impossible..

they had minecraft running at a jolly 5fps in their prototype video a few months back, still if i wanted last gen games console I'll stick to my PSP, plus its more portabable.

I'd expect this fancy piece of kit to cost about as much as an ipad2, so take your pick :P

The thing wont stream on my rubbish internet, but I saw the pictures of what it was and I do not want.

I thought that it was probably going to be a media PC dressed like a console, I dont get why no one can make one of those and sell it in the gaming console market.

As one of the comments says ... 'Gaming on an Intel Atom? No way'.

Now, if this thing would have been capable of comfortably playing upcoming games that I want like GW2 and D3, then it would make an awesome piece of kit.

But it doesnt even look capable of running modern games from the last few years.

What speed is the CPU, how much ram does it have, and what is the GPU?
