Re-Submitting a site to google

I had a website that was being indexed in google quite nicely, then due to a hosting screw up the site went down for a couple of months, which seemed to then knock it out of google's indexing list.

Someone told me that rather than submitting the site to google again, the best thing to do is submit a "re-inclusion request".

anyone know how I go about that?

Do you know for sure that google isn't indexing your pages? Do you use google webmaster tools - http://www.google.com/webmasters/ ?

Thanks Growse, I just found it shortly after posting this, have signed up for the webmaster tools and have re-included my site.

i submitted my site to google about 2 weeks ago and according to that tools thing above, my site has been crawled and indexed... yet it isn't showing up in search results. should i be concerned about this? :confused:

so if you do a search for your domain name in google, it doesnt bring it up?

no, it doesn't.

i'm not really suprised since its only been 2 weeks, but i'm just a bit confused cause the webmaster tools thing says that it has been crawled and indexed.
