Idleman I sent your basket to overclockers to see how much a custom build would be and they came back with this
Please note though that we may well have to change either the RAM or cooler as the tall heat-spreaders on this RAM will probably interfere with the large CPU cooler.?
Thanks for the reply Idleman. I was reading a thread somewhere else and someone said the i5 is better value than the i7 for a single card, any thoughts on this
hey Ethermaster meant to thank you for helping me out last week with the above build, only thing I'm not sure yet is the i5 or i7. I see the his hd 7990 is on sale this week at what seems a good price any difference between the two.Its not actually red in side nor is the window just in that picture to make the window stand out I think OcUK have put some LED lighting into, but I have done a red and black one for you

IMO there is little to none difference between the 2 cards as both are reference and @ stock clocks, the only thing that will change is the warranty and RMA process. The actual GPU at the heart of the 7990 is the same on both cards as is the cooler and the PCB and all made and designed by AMD themselves. I personally with the deals this week would pick up an i5 but that is upto you... if you wanted to jump up to an i7 you will get slightly better results in games and none in order IMO.As long as you keep it clean and out of direct sun light, I would`nt have thought so.
Thats good to know because my next case is going to be white lol
