Why do we need to segregate the world? Why does where in the world conflicts break out determine if we should/shouldn't be involved? When human lives are endangered to the force of an evil, people who can stop it should, no matter where they are. Our world is ever more local and our ehtics should follow in my view.

We don't need to segregate it. It already is segregated. That isn't going to change for a long, long time.

We should only be concerned about other countries if they are a threat to us, or our direct allies, we don't have the resources to be helping everyone.

You seem to have missed my question so I'll ask it again.

I'd like to ask you one thing. Do you, or do you not think that it would be an inherently good thing if Gadaffi lost power, and subsequently (if possible) were to face a fair trial at the ICC for the crimes committed during his time in power?

Good and bad don't exist :)

Remember it was better for us that he was in power.

Define evil.

A little while ago there was footage on YouTube depicting rebels flogging dead soldiers. It was alleged that the soldiers surrendered, were tortured and executed.

How many civilians did we blow up whilst trying to liberate them from Hussein?

You mean liberate us of Hussein?

We put him there, he was supposed to do his job, he failed, we went in to clean up and start over.

Then lets have his subjective answer. :p

I'm not interested in what was better for us. I'm interested in seeing justice for any crimes committed by Gadaffi including but not limited to:

The Lockerbie Bombing
The murder of Yvonne Fletcher
The Berlin Discotheque bombing in 1986
Funding the IRA, ETA, and the PLO
The systematic murdering of Libyan dissidents around the world
The 1996 mass murder of 1200 Libyan prisoners
The deliberate targeting of civilians since the uprisings began

OldCoals constantly goes on about the hypocrisy of the West's involvement. I am neither agreeing nor disagreeing with his statements. I would merely like to know whether or not this possible hypocrisy is excuse for Gadaffi to go unpunished or at the very least criticised!

The UK has trained, funded and armed lots of terrorists!
