Then lets have his subjective answer. :p

I'm not interested in what was better for us. I'm interested in seeing justice for any crimes committed by Gadaffi including but not limited to:

The Lockerbie Bombing Fair enough
The murder of Yvonne FletcherFair enough
The Berlin Discotheque bombing in 1986 Not too sure about this
Funding the IRA, ETA, and the PLO We funded them to (West in general i mean)
The systematic murdering of Libyan dissidents around the world Not our problem
The 1996 mass murder of 1200 Libyan prisoners Not our problem
The deliberate targeting of civilians since the uprisings began Not our problem, though under the UN resolution, i suppose it is now

This is how politicians will see it, our opinions mean nothing.

"I'd like to ask you one thing. Do you, or do you not think that it would be an inherently good thing if Gadaffi lost power, and subsequently (if possible) were to face a fair trial at the ICC for the crimes committed during his time in power?"

While it may be, I imagine the rebel leader will just end up doing the same. As I said earlier, they're all mad.

He has no chance of a fair trial. He will be assassinated one way or the other.

As for the conflict, it is non of our business, this is an internal matter for the people of Libya.

Is this government spokesperson the Libyan version of comical Ali? Talking about negotiating, think that boat sailed a long time ago fella!

Then a fair trial would exonerate him. There are plenty of other accusations of criminality to take into account.
He was released on compassionate grounds before it could go to retrial though, convienently stopping any review of the dodgy evidence that had been used in the original trial.

Really don't give a damn about him, as far as i see it, he is out of the country and back in the "worst region" on the planet.

Actually, I meant Gaddafi as opposed to al-Megrahi. This is assuming al-Megrahi acted with Government support.
Sorry, I think your missing my point, the evidence used to convict al-Megrahi was at best tainted, at worst deliberately fabricated by western intelligence agencies. Even then there is serious doubts that Libya were even involved.
