theres evidence of crimes agains humanity by the rebels....

the use of children under the age of 15 is a warcrime yet we all saw the pictures on skynews of the teenage kids who were said to be 14-15 by the sky news reporter... they clearly all had guns and we were told they were defending prisoners in a classroom which is what we saw.

theres a lot of other reported war crimes about the rebels from the same humanity groups who were also saying gaddafi was commiting war crimes.

its messed up that all our goverment just ignore any rebel was crimes whikle condeming gaddafi for doing the exact same thing..

civilians in sirte dont matter either the situation is pretty much reversed the rebels were closing in on sirte yet nato bombs a path for them and even bombs locations in sirte how ****** up is that

Indeed :(

So therefore not through bombing...

Bombing is a ridiculously inefficient and stupid way to try and kill one person. If they want to kill a single person there are far more effective ways of doing it.

It is however a ridiculously efficient way of killing one person while giving the impression and plausible deniability that that it wasn't your intention, not saying that's their intention, just pointing it out.

The US and the UK both have precision guided munitions.

And after 6 months of blowing stuff up have not killed Gadaffi.

Either they completley suck, or Gadaffi's death is not the aim of the bombing.

most of it obviously isnt aimed at gaddafi as hes not hiding in tanks , apcs etc.. obviously..

but certain locations were obviously aimed at killing him or family members

How come the UK government are not giving the same hands on attention to Syria, IMO there has been worse atrocities committed there, their oil not good or something?

Maybe because Libya contains some of the worlds best oil, and its much easier to help the rebels in Libya than Syria as Libya is weaker and very close to Europe.

Just watched a report from John Simpson in Triploi.

He was filming some rebels who had taken over one of Gadaffis female bodyguard military traing camps and the commander there really didn't them to film him.

He got threatening and abusive and when Simpson refused to leave he went off and got a gun and fired warning shots at them until they left....not good.

Also, he mentioned as a passing remark that Tripoli had no water supply as pro-gaddafi supporters had cut it off. Well, I just wonder what the truth of that is, since there was the other news a couple of weeks ago about how NATO had bombed that water pipeline supplying 70% of Libya's water (then we bombed the repair factory too) - none of which was reported on western media.

Who knows? *shrug*

Why would NATO bomb civilian water supply?

I know its cool to hate the government and all that but don't you think these conspiracies are getting a bit silly?

Quite obvious really, it puts pressure on the civilian population to rise up and help overthrow the encumbent leadership...nothing to do with conspiracy theory or hating our government, but a general seige tactic in warfare.... I think you have me confused with someone else...

Also, this was quite widely reported on the internet, but nothing on western media (which would be understandable as it wouldn;t be a popular thing to do) But like I said, who knows really...

If they really had done that it would have provided the perfect propaganda for Gadaffi and you can be sure he would have taken advantage of it! It's not a general tactic at all, its a war crime I would imagine!

Lots of things are quite widely reported on the internet, most of it is rubbish. Did you know they faked the moon landings?

Tripoli gets it's water supplies piped in from the South where it just happens to still be controlled by Gadaffi. Wonder why they're not making much of it propaganda wise hmmm.

the rebels were saying they found a years supply of medicine and 6 months worth of food (for the whole country) the other day they come out with some pretty unbelievable BS..

most of it is propaganda aimed at the gaddafi loyalists to get them to switch sides
