rebuilt forums

In the threadbit template, find:

<a href="showthread.php?$session[sessionurl]t=$thread[threadid]$thread[highlight]" id="thread_title_$thread[realthreadid]"<if condition="$show['gotonewpost']"> style="font-weight:bold"</if>>$thread[threadtitle]</a>

Change to:

<a href="showthread.php?$session[sessionurl]t=$thread[threadid]$thread[highlight]" id="thread_title_$thread[realthreadid]"<if condition="$show['gotonewpost']"> style="font-weight:normal"</if>>$thread[threadtitle]</a>

That should fix it.

lol i thought something seemed different today, fonts seem different in places, and the spacing is different too.
worst part is, i can;t remeber how it looked before now :p

whoa i just went to edit this post and it poped up the edit box in the same windows over my post. that saves the page from being loaded up again during an edit.

what i was gonna ask was, what specs are the ocuk forums server?

Any chance of more choices for Avatars. I think everyone would like to see
a few more face's in there like John Gotty and De Niro, that would be cool.

Hmmm looks different thats for sure...wasnt sure if it was my internet connection or my laptop that wasnt loading up the pages right...just didnt look right at the start. But came in here and saw that the forums had indeed been changed.

Cant say if i like it or dislike it yet...its going to take sometime getting used to i suppose...but as long as its quick, fast and efficient then i wont be complaining.

Oh man - I always used the search by username function :(

Very much temporary - for some reason the query looking up usernames on the search page took an age, if you click on the username to the left of a post and click show posts it loads inf a flash though.

Trying to dig through somebody else's PHP at 6am though is a bad idea though, so I cut it out to save db problems until it's sorted.

Edit: Love that little button on a quote though, can jump straight to your post :)

I must say, I preferred the look before but who am I to moan. :p

As the person said a few posts up, i feel like the page hasnt loaded properly. Will get used to it in time though im sure.

I'm not convinced at the moment, looks a bit over complicated for what it should be and there are a few things such as non-bold names, gap under sigs, etc. which I really hope are being ironed out and not just been taken as certain peoples preferences.

Glad search is back...kinda, in a way, it was a sacrifice :p

Looks good :)

IMO the gap between the post makes for easier reading, also like the fact it now shows how many people are viewing each section.

Nice work mods :D

Any visual change is not a conscious choice - just what it looks like when the new vbulletin default templates hit our forum. There were a lot of hacks in the old templates, probably too many.

We'll put back in as few template hacks as we can and document them thoroughly so we can upgrade more easily in future.
