Hmm my mate had one, was for ever calling me up to come fix it on its weekly hissy fit. Normally the exhaust falling off which was becoming a running joke, and the clutch cable snapped and he tried to glue it.

other than that a funky little thing, it is seriously sparse inside though. plus even in top nick it still looks like a pile of crapo. :p

Hurray for ghetto driving.

I bought a 11 year old 106 with 48k on it for £650 and thrashed 12k miles in 6 months onto it. Not let me down once so far :)

I could have spent a lot more, but why take the depreciation when i knew i'd be up and down the A1 for half a year ?

When i'm done with it i'll probably give it to my sister so she can get her test past.

It's the sort of thing Carcraft would use on a TV advert saying they'll give a £1k minimum part exchange on old bangers.

The ones with steam coming out of the bonnet and the guy popping the hood in frustration, only for the carcraft lady to appear!!

Well... The new engine has been in for just under a month a now. And it's absolutley fantastic! Loving the short ratio gear box, makes it a right monsters to drive in the lower gears.

At standard the original polo GT would be putting out a conservative 75bhp. Mine has the advantage of having no cat on the exhaust and some k&N style air filter that i had with with the engine. I also have a new ECU chip on the way and with this i am hoping to be hitting the 90bhp mark, if not the late 80's. Couple this with the fact the car weights around the 750kg mark leaving it at around 120bhp per ton. It's not slow off the line at all and a joy to drive, minus the boat like suspension.

Nah, not quite yet and don't have a decent camera with me right now. I was in a real rush to get it all sorted and working. Spent every evening after work for a week getting it sorted so i could take it to Uni.
