so yesterday i had my first computer scam call from a nice indian chap

had the guy on the phone for about 30mins

he asked me to turn my computer on but this being a scam i thought id just ask what he wanted me to do first before i did anything, he wouldnt tell me:rolleyes:

anyway i wasted his time for a while by asking him where the on switch is on my computer, why is he called kevin and how did he get my number. he couldn't answer any.

today i had a nice indian chap called nick and this call ended rather badly and quickly for nick.

"hello my name is nick and iam calling from OS systems or somthing?"

me- "oh will you just **** off i had one of your ****hole colleagues on the phone yesterday, everytime you ring me im going to abuse you so delete me from your database, now ****of"

nick hangs up.

So not only did you waste 30 minutes of your own time, you decided to waste other peoples with this sorry excuse for a thread?

Just put the phone down in future instead of trying to be smart and/or swearing at them like a chav.

Also inb4 "Your wasting your time posting this", why would I be on this forum if not to waste time?

I'm going to class PPI callers as scammers now...becuase they are.

We were getting daily calls from PPI people when I got home for summer, but a week of me being hostile, and not falling into their scripted traps has shut them up :D

i had a few minutes spare before going to work so yea thought id waste their time. maybe if i swear at them like a unintelligent chav they may just not bother to call again therefore saving time?

I had one of these, infact my first last week!

Indian guy saying he was from a tax rebate company in London and wanted to refund me £500-700 into my account. Twice he got my bank wrong and in the end admitted it was a scam, became quite abusive saying he wanted to **** my mother and *** in my mouth LOL :D

Add yourself to the TPS, although that won't create much of an effect for the foreign ones. Never reply to the spam text messages...

And when they do phone, just say no, and hang up - if you let yourself get bothered about it then you've lost.

Just put the phone down.

thats just no fun though, i dont get mad with these people they are just doing their jobs so my abuse to them is not nescesary but i do like to fool them about

im trying to come up with ideas to go along with for the next call them will probably send my way. i think a decent one is that ive designed my own operating system and nothing they tell me to do is compatable with it.

sad and pathetic yes but its just for sh**s and giggles.

We've had a customer call us up saying they've spoken to Microsoft and handed over their card details, not just once, but three times! They gave a phone number to call (which picks up), an email address and a reference code, plus a personal account manager (Jim Taylor) :D

From what we can tell, they've installed MalwareBytes, CCleaner and a 10,000 seat (VLK - Valid until 2018) version of AVG. It seems that they might not be as nefarious as we first thought, that it's just some poor indian bloke who thinks they're doing a good job and taking payment at the end. They even emailed this customer to make sure the work was OK before they took any payments! Not sure how much they took though!
